Jaye’s talent won him recognition as one of only 6 artists to win the competition, and get the chance to be managed by Johnny Wright as part of the pop group Y6. During his time with the group, he toured and performed for crowds all over the country.
Jaye had the chance to be recognized nationally when he was a contestant on The Voice Season 8, then performing as James McNeiece. In his audition, which is still available to view on iTunes, Jaye attracted the attention of Adam Levine, who mentored him while on the show.
On changing his performance name, he says he was already known personally by everyone close to him as “Jaye”, and decided that he wanted to invite his fans and everyone who hears his music to see that more informal side.
